HOW IT WORKS

* WEEK ONE: THE AUDITION--24 hours prior to the first class your sides will be e-mailed to you. The sides will be principal or larger. The Actor will work the material the same way they would for any audition. You will be given an audition time. After The Audition all work is reviewed and critiqued. The actor will then have the opportunity to re-work the material.

*WEEK TWO: THE CALL BACK--The Actor will be given an audition time. After The Call-Back all work is reviewed and critiqued. The actor will then have the opportunity to re-work the material.

*WEEK THREE: THE BOOKING--You got it, they loved you, now get yourself to set! You will NOT work the piece with the actor who has the other side. You will arrive to set prepared. Each scene will be shot as it would be On-Set On-The-Day. If it’s not your scene be prepared to operate the boom, slate or mark. I will coach, direct and demand.

*WEEK FOUR: THE DAY--After all, it is a class. Week three was the prep, now it’s really The Day. I will direct not teach, and since everything is the same as above and you’ve ‘rehearsed’, we’re going to fly. All work will be recorded for you on your VHS tape. A fabulously edited DVD or Tape of your scene from The Day can be created for you.

MORE ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Anastasia Bandey was trained in New York at AADA, The William Esper Studios, Manhattan Edge, and Shakespeare and Co., Boston. She taught and was an on-set coach while working as an actor in New York. Anastasia came to Vancouver five years ago and taught for UBCP, while working in television on such shows as Millennium, Stargate and Cold Squad, and in films such as Life or Something Like It, and Vanity to name a few. Anastasia opened her own studio over a year ago. Besides teaching classes, Anastasia’s studio, ACTORWORKS is a full service studio, providing actor demo reels at reasonable rates, audition coaching, and audition taping.
