|  | The Performer's Mastery Workshop
July 6, 7, 8 2007
I co-facilitate the Performer's Mastery with Linda Darlow and Rob Bruner (and sometimes Larry Gilman). The Mastery workshop has been in existence since 1976. The work of the Mastery is getting actors and performers past those blocks that stop their creative processes through the use of acting exercises and a powerful group dynamic. Our next scheduled Mastery workshop is July 6, 7, 8 2007.

The next schedule one will likely be in April the Schoolcreative Studio #2 on West Cordova. Pre-registration is required, you can view details for this event on the Other Events page. Early payment discounts are also available.
ENROLLMENT UPDATE: We currently already have 5 participants enrolled for this workshop. We limit the group size to 20, so if you want to hold a spot contact me at henry@henryjmah.com. A $100 non refundable deposit is required to hold you a seat in the workshop.

I am new to Vancouver but not new to the industry. I hope you will take a moment to look at my site. I have been trained by some of the top in the industry and focus mostly on Voice Over. Although I am an actor, instructor and producer/director.
I am told that I offer one of the top voice over workshops in North America. I've been teaching across Canada for over 4 years and offer an office in both Edmonton and Vancouver. I find that Vancouver is a bit behind in the INTERNATIONAL/FREELANCE voice over market, and this is where I come in.

CANADA'S NATIONAL VOICE INTENSIVE 2007

Canada's National Voice Intensive, under the direction of David Smukler, is a five-week program designed for professional actors (stage and screen), other performing artists, voice teachers, and advanced students. The Voice Intensive faculty has, for eighteen years, continuously refined its approach to the performer's work. The work integrates investigations of Shakespeare text with vocal, physical, intellectual, and imaginative practices. These practices balance structure and improvisation, traditional and contemporary challenges.
Participants will have opportunities to:
- Renew and revitalize the craft of performance
- Extend performance, directing and teaching skills
- Develop a coherent approach to physical, vocal and text preparation Improve skills with spoken language through exploration of classical text.
Form and Content
Mornings are dedicated to voice and movement, afternoons to language and text. We begin with Shakespeare's Sonnets and then continue with monologues and scenes from four plays.
This year's selections are:
Measure for Measure
Othello
Romeo and Juliet
Twelfth Night
The program provides a uniquely effective opportunity for rethinking personal and professional voice use.
The participants work individually and in small and large groups. Groupings rotate regularly, allowing interaction among all participants and faculty. Scheduled Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm plus two or three evenings per week, the work begins promptly at:

TOM TODOROFF WEEKEND WORKSHOP

I went to the free evening on Monday December 11 to check him out and see what he is like as a teacher. He's really good and brings a spiritual element to the work. I was at the workshop on January 14 & 15 and Apri 21 & 22, and it was well worth it. I booked a commercial at my first audition after the January weekend.
